Big Problems? Description

We just had our master bath redone with Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops and (http://maplered.com) statuary Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) floors and (http://maplered.com) shower with Granite (http://tanbrown.org) inserts. The statuary Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) is bright white with gray veining. The Tiles (http://www.g682.net) came from the supplier very glossy, with a mirror like finish. When the job was completed the finish on the Tiles (http://www.g682.net)  was dull and (http://maplered.com) does not feel smooth to the touch, It looks like it was wiped with a dirty rag, but the smear marks are permanent. The contractor hired a restoration company who worked on it for some time with limited results. They finally got a better result with some crystals and (http://maplered.com) steel wool. They recommend not to seal the Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) . I am wondering if this treatment is a temproary fix, will I have trouble in the future. Should I seal this installation. Am I totally screwed. Your opinion please. John Barth.
